Fall in the Carolinas

We've had so much fun exploring our area during the fall season! This is my favorite time of year! I've been dying to go apple picking since we moved here. With a three-month-old, we headed to the closest apple orchard: Windy Hill Orchard & Cider Mill. Of course, we arrived the first weekend they stopped doing pick your own apples on Saturdays. However, you can still pick your own apples on Fridays 1-6 p.m. Click here for more information on pick your own apples. Blair obviously didn't mind because she had her very first caramel apple and had a blast on the hayride! Mom and Dad enjoyed a hard apple cider flight, as well as the most delicious apple cider doughnuts! Our favs were Hoppin Johnny and Jersey Blues. Their 25th Apple Harvest Festival is coming up on October 20th! Click here for more info.

(This has been my favorite dress post pregnancy. It's from Old Navy. Click here for details.

And I wear these Steve Madden shoes every day. Blair's dress is from Baby Gap.)

Blair's dress is a Marmellata smock dress from Belk.

This weekend (despite the heat) we decided to check out the Hall Family Farm. We had friends visiting from out of town, and the kids just loved the pumpkin patch! They also had a great little corn maze for the kiddos! Fall season on the Hall Family Farm includes a corn maze, pumpkin picking, musical hay ride, kids activities, school tours, group tours, birthday parties, and refreshments available in their sales tent. There is no admission charge. Here's a break down of the activities:

Corn Maze – $8 + tax for ages 3 and up, ages 2 and under are free

Kids Corn Maze – $2 for ages 3 and up, ages 2 and under are free

Pedal Go Karts – $2 for ages 5 and up for a 15 minute ride

Pumpkins – varies by size – $0.64/lb

Bonfire – $60 for 2 hours

Hayrides – $3.25 for ages 3 and up, ages 2 and under are free (all ages are allowed to ride)

(Blair's dress is a Marmellata smock dress from Belk.)

Here are a few other things I'm wanting to check out before the fall season is over.

Please send me your recommendations as well!
