After 20 years in the news industry, five-time Emmy Award-winning journalist Sarah French transitioned from television to entrepreneurship, taking her wealth of storytelling experience and, together with her team of talented photographers and videographers, helping businesses and individuals tell their unique stories and grow their audience through Sarah French Media Group. She also owns Nest Photo Studio, a boutique photography studio in Charlotte specializing in family, business, and commercial shoots.

Most recently, Sarah served as a main news anchor for WCNC Charlotte, where she was a trusted voice in the community. Before her time in Charlotte, she was a morning anchor and reporter at WHDH in Boston, where she also hosted What’s Cooking, How to Help, and Backstage in Boston. Prior to that, she anchored mornings at WTIC in Hartford, CT, and began her career at KOMU in Columbia, MO.

Sarah has covered major news stories, including the Boston Marathon bombing, the 2010 Haiti earthquake, and the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China. In addition to her Emmy Awards, she has been honored with the "Speak for Thyself Award" for community advocacy and was named one of Boston’s Most Exceptional Women.

A dedicated advocate for domestic violence victims, Sarah worked with Connecticut legislators to help make 911 texting possible after the tragic death of her friend and colleague, Alice Morrin. She is also a passionate supporter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Sarah is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, where she later earned her Master of Journalism degree, focusing her research on supporting journalists who cover traumatic events.

Sarah grew up in Arkansas and now lives in Charlotte with her husband, two children, and their two dogs, Buddy and Teddy. She is a huge fan of theater and enjoys spending her free time with family. Sarah is also active in her church’s children’s ministry.
